Complaints from a liberal writer convinced Youtube to drastically change the top results when people search the word “abortion,” which were primarily pro-life.
“Search for ‘abortion’ on YouTube last week and the top results were a horrifying mix of gore and dangerous misinformation,” April Glaser said on Twitter.
The complaint quickly turned into a brag as she followed with, “YouTube changed the results after I asked.”
Glaser is a writer for Slate and also published an article were she seems to be completely confused that the top results would be for people AGAINST abortion.
“If, until recently, you did the same over on Google-owned YouTube, it felt like you were searching in a whole other universe,” Glaser wrote.
“Before I raised the issue with YouTube late last week, the top search results for ‘abortion’ on the site were almost all anti-abortion—and frequently misleading,” she continued while omitting any examples where viewers might have been misled.
It’s unfortunate to see how easily yet another media outlet was willing to roll over and give in to the whims of the left, something that isn’t escaping those watching from the right.
PJ Media’s Paula Bolyard was one conservative with a quick response tweeting, “Slate writer claims she got YouTube to change search results to reflect her pro-baby-killing views.”
Bolyard closed by pointing out the obvious, “Tell me more about how there’s no anti-conservative bias.”
